I can hear you thinking already: ?3-bands my mp3 player has more than that.? Well you would be right but there is a very good reason for only having three bands. Most people who get into audio spend lots of money on HighEnd amplifiers, preamp, speakers, and cables. The one thing they often overlook is the room that they listen in. Room acrostics can drastically change the sound coming from your stereo. The problem is that not everyone can build a room for listening, money, space, or significant others may prevent this from happening. This is where the Rives 3-Band EQ comes in. It is specifically designed to take the room out of the equation. It does so by addressing the height, depth and breadth of the room as it applies to the sounds waveforms. After sitting in a small room that was never designed for listening to HighEnd audio all I can say is this thing works. It is very subtle but you can hear a difference when it is on and when it is off. The reflections from the walls, floor and ceiling simply disappear. All the sound is focused from the speakers creating a cleaner sound and better experience in my opinion.
