Call of Duty: WWII Winter Siege Starts December 8

The very first community even in Call of Duty: WWII is getting ready to start this week. The event is a Winter Siege that will kick off on December 8 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The event will have a new winter version of the Carentan map that is all covered in snow.

That map was originally only available for Season Pass owners. The Headquarters is getting a seasonal revamp too featuring a visiting quartermaster along with new Supply Drops and new cold-weather gear. In the second week of the Winter Siege a limited return of the Gun Game will be available to play reports Gamespot.

Special Double XP playlists will also be available. A classic mode will be offered that lets players compete to be the first to earn a kill with each weapon in the game. The Headquarters beach encampment will have a snow appearance during this event.

Captain Butcher will be handing out winter gear, cosmetic items, and weapon variants. The new weapon variants will be available via Special Orders from Major Howard for free and will rotate daily so players can get them all. A free Winter Siege supply drop is given when players first login. There are also several bug fixes coming.
