Borderlands 3 Sold 5 Million copies in 5 Days

Borderlands 3 has become the fastest-selling 2K Game ever. The launch of the game is reportedly the biggest in the history of the publisher selling over than 50% more than Borderlands 2 when it launched.

The game is also credited with being the highest selling 2K game on PC during a five-day window despite being an Epic Games Store exclusive. The game has pushed the entire Borderlands franchise to over $1 billion in sales.

2K also noted that Borderlands 3 has the highest percentage of digital sales at more than 70%. The title also had the highest pre-order sales to date and is a popular spectator game taking the top spot on Twitch for the most-watched game on launch day reports Gamespot.

The first DLC for the game has been announced and will be free. It’s called Bloody Harvest to celebrate Haloween. Gearbox has said that there will be no more playable characters added to the game.
