Bethesda Nukes Duplicate Items in Fallout 76

One of the big complaints that gamers had in Fallout 76 was that nefarious players had large numbers of duped items. Bethesda has now removed a massive amount of duped items in the game and is getting praised by players for a change.

Bethesda said that it went after a list of over 400 weapon and armor items that were identified as common duplicates. Anyone who had multiple numbers of items from that list had them removed and were left with one. Power armor was spared for now.

Devs are eyeing removing duplicates of Power Armor from player inventories as well. Players with very large amounts of Nuka-Cola saw their items removed reports Polygon.

Item duplication has thrown off the balance of the game, and the purge was welcome by users. Along with the purge, Bethesda did make some other changes to the game including eliminating the “wanted” designation for players who accidentally damaged another players CAMP objects.
