Best Buy Already Selling the ATI X1900 GT Video Card
When a reader when to a local Best Buy store and managed to buy an ATI-branded X1900 GT retail card he took it home and noticed the sticker said X1900 GTO! Sure the fact that the bought is a week before it was to be announced is strange, but the sticker having GTO on it makes for a better story. Why did ATI kill the X1900 GT0? It seems they started producing them and re-named them at the very last second.
We note that the card is clocked at 574MHz core, and works at 500MHz in 2D, while the memory is clocked at 594MHz. The chip was heating up to 63 Celsius when our picture was taken. It was rather interesting to learn that despite the box claims that he bought X1900GT card, the green sticker with a serial number actually declared the card as X1900 GTO.
