AVADirect Now Offers Intel 1150 XEON E3-1200 v3 Server & Workstation Systems

AVADirect, a leading custom computer integrator, is now offering new Haswell-based E3 Xeon server and workstation configurations. Utilizing the Intel C224 chipset, E3-1200 v3 processors provide vast performance improvements over any E3-series processor to date. Even when utilizing dual-channel memory kits, the generation E3-1200 v3 processors incorporate additional bandwidth to a C224 motherboard’s expansion slots. This may not be important for server configurations, but those utilizing Intel’s E3-1200 processors will have increased flexibility with a multitude of expansion-slot components; mainly for graphics card solutions to reap the benefits. Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3 processors will be offered in quad-core flavors, with the INTEL Xeon E3-1220V3 Quad-Core Processor (3.1 – 3.5GHz) being the base SKU, and the INTEL Xeon E3-1275V3 Quad-Core Processor (3.5 – 3.9GHz) as the highest performer. All E3-1200 v3 processors cap at 8MB of L3 cache, and a 80w maximum TDP using a 22nm architecture.

Similar to last year’s Intel E5 Xeon release, AVADirect offers three Xeon E3-1200 v3 configurations to fit the needs of professionals, and are designed for various uses. 1U/2U Servers, Pedestal Servers, and small form-factor workstations; including the addition of AVADirect’s rack-mountable workstations. All custom configuration options offer up to 32GB of ECC memory, USB 3.0 support, IPMI functionalities, dedicated hardware RAID solutions (equipped with hot-swap), and complete support for Windows 8 operating systems. The most exciting of the three includes the custom rack-mountable workstation. Previously, system integrators were limited to what manufacturers provided in a pre-built, rack-mountable barebone solution. Now, AVADirect offers complete control over your rack-mountable E3-1200 v3 Xeon workstation.
