AVADirect Launches Intel Sandy Bridge Desktop and Notebook PCs

By

AVADirect recently added desktop and notebook PCs featuring the new Sandy Bridge architecture by Intel to their product lineup. These 2nd generation “i” series processors are built on the same 32nm die size as their antecedent Westmere, making the technology very familiar for AVADirect to easily integrate into their product lines. Some of the key features include Hyper-Threading, ensuring each core is used efficiently while utilizing multiple tasks at once, and Turbo Boost which will respectively overclock the processor when it is deemed necessary based on the current process.

What Sandy Bridge means to gaming desktops is more affordable configurations with increased performance, easily achievable overclock speeds, and improved physics performance. Custom non-gaming desktops provide more multi-tasking and efficiency than ever before and lower costs due to the integrated HD graphics, removing the need for dedicated graphics card to drive the display(s). Notebook end-users will enjoy improved battery life due to mobile Sandy Bridge processors lesser power consumption and heat. HTPC users can take advantage of the slim-streamed integrated HD graphics engine for viewing HD movies, digital TV, and streaming video making HTPCs built from Sandy Bridge the ideal solution for any media center requirements.
