AT&T Unite From Sierra Wireless First Hands On

By

Just the other day we posted the press release about the AT&T Unite 4G LTE Hotspot from Sierra Wireless. Today we were able to get a hands on at the AT&T Developers conference to see it in action. Even with the heavy network congestion, they were able to pull up the HGTV website on an iPad in a scant few seconds. The color LCD display is clear and well laid out and the device felt light in the hand. It has the ability to connect up to 10 devices and according to the rep we spoke to has a standby time of 10 days.

Sadly, they still were not able to provide us with pricing saying that it will be announced later in the month shortly before the actual product launch to retail markets.

This new mobile hotspot makes customers lives easier by allowing them to stay connected to family, friends, and work while on-the-go and on any Wi-Fi enabled device, said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices and Developer Services, AT&T. Coupled with our Mobile Share plans, the AT&T Unite is a compelling and valuable option for connecting to the nations largest 4G network.
