San Jose, CA, January 28, 2014 Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ: ATML), a leader in microcontroller and touch technology solutions, today announced its popular Tech On Tour (ToT) is hitting the road in a 40 x 85 mobile trailer, which opens out into a 900 square feet walk-in space.

Designed to drive Atmel technologies to a location near you, the trailer brings hands-on training, hack-a-thons, key technology demonstrations and more based on Atmel microcontrollers, microprocessors, wireless, touch solutions and easy-to-use software tools to showcase the companys latest innovations.

Visitors to the mobile trailer can expect to:

• Discover how to operate peripherals without waking up the core processor
• Develop a working application in a day
• Learn about wireless systems design
• Get up-to-speed on the latest in touch technology
