The ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition is one of the more power hungry motherboards to come across the bench in recent days. The peak power draw happened during the 3DMark Firestrike runs, during 3DMark the ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition was pulling 296 Watts at the wall, the MSI X79 motherboard was pulling a hair less at 291 Watts at the wall. The ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition isn’t meant for those going green, it is meant for performance and as we have seen today it has plenty of that.
