ASUS Radeon HD 7970 3GB CrossFire Review
Retail Box and Bundle
The retail packaging for ASUS Radeon HD 7970 video card is typical of what we have seen from ASUS over the past couple years. Pretty much all companies ship their graphics cards in a simple cardboard box with colorful graphics, so not sure how you’d change it up. This card is based on the AMD reference design and isn’t overclocked, so the only special feature highlighted on the front of the box is the ASUS GPU Tweak utility.
The back of the box highlights GPU Tweak (again…), 3GB of GDDR5 memory and the four video outputs on the dual slot back plate.
Inside the box you’ll find another cardboard box that has the accessories included in the bundle and then under that you’ll find the ASUS Radeon HD 7970 video card itself.
Included in the box is the driver DVD, user manual, CrossFireX bridge interconnect, HDMI to DVI cable, and, mini-DP to DVI and a dual 6-pin PCI-E power cable to 8-pin
PCI-E adapter. If you have a VGA only monitor you might want to upgrade as it appears that companies are finally done supporting those monitors.
