The Legit Reviews test platform for the Intel Z270 chipset will be installed on an open air test bed, running a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Anniversary edition. All patches, drivers and firmware will be updated and a 24-hour burn-in test will be conducted prior to beginning performance testing.
All testing is done in a temperature controlled room, maintained at 70F (21.1C). Whenever possible, testing will be done using integrated benchmarks to ensure consistancy. If an integrated benchmark is not available, FRAPS or OCAT will be used to analyze the performance. All benchmarks will be done multiple times, with the results averaged.
