ASRock Core 100HT Home Theater PC Review

PCMark Vantage

PCMark Vantage is the first objective hardware performance benchmark for PCs running 32- and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows Vista. PCMark Vantage is perfectly suited for benchmarking any type of Microsoft Windows Vista PC from multimedia home entertainment systems and laptops to dedicated workstations and hi-end gaming rigs. Regardless of whether the benchmarker is an artist or an IT Professional, PCMark Vantage shows the user where their system soars or falls flat, and how to get the most performance possible out of their hardware. The PCMark Vantage benchmark was run in 64-bit mode for the results shown below.

The ASRock Core 100HT HTPC was able to score 4213 PCMarks in 32-bit mode. While this is nothing to brag about, it does blow away traditional Intel Atom-based nettops.

Compared to the AMD E350 APU, we see the ASRock Core 100HT is easily able to provide better overall system performance due to the capabilities of the Intel Core i3 330 CPU over the AMD E350.

This time, the ASRock Core 100HT was able to score 4348 PCMarks in 64-bit mode. We see the same story with just a few more points in some categories.

Again, the ASRock Core 100HT has better overall system performance than the AMD E350 APU. Now on to browser performance.
