3DMark Vantage

3DMark Vantage is the new industry standard PC gaming performance benchmark from Futuremark, newly designed for Windows Vista and DirectX10. It includes two new graphics tests, two new CPU tests, several new feature tests, and support for the latest hardware. 3DMark Vantage is based on a completely new rendering engine, developed specifically to take full advantage of DirectX10, the new graphics API from Microsoft.

We ran the Entry preset test on 3DMark Vantage. The ASRock Core 100HT scored 2891 3DMarks. Here we can also see the integrated graphics were holding the system back with no surprise by only scoring 2458 on the GPU, while the CPU Score was 6122.

Comparing the ASRock Core 100HT with an AMD Fusion E350 based system using the same HDD and 4GB of DDR3 RAM running at 1333MHz, we see the AMD Fusion system is able to out-perform the Core i3 330 based ASRock Core 100HT. But that is due to the AMD APU’s graphics simply out-performing the integrated graphics on the HM55 chipset.
