Aqua Computer aquagraFX Water Block for GeForce GTX 480 Video Cards
Temperature Testing
With the GTX480 running at stock settings on air and the fan on auto the card gets quite toasty running at 92*C. Bumping up to 100% it cools down quite a bit but at the expense of being very loud. Then we have the water blocks. Both the Danger Den and the Aqua Computer blocks are running neck and neck at full load, with the Danger Den edging out a one degree cooler idle temp.
With the card running at the max OC we could get while running on air the water blocks are still running neck and neck while putting the air cooling to shame – as they should.
With the GTX480 running at max overclock we finally start to see a separation in the water blocks. The aquagraFX block comes in at 58*C at full load, 2 degrees behind the Danger Den block. Both block cooling numbers are impressive though; 30+ degree improvement over the stock configuration is nothing to sneeze at.
