By

In a surprise announcement via IncGamers, Blizzard has informed the public at large that tickets to recently announced BlizzCon 2010 have sold out in record time! Actually, the event has sold out before the tickets went on sale! Due to a high rate of calls to Blizzard’s technical support line, the company released early tickets to a few select customers. “We didn’t intend to sell all of them already, but I guess the vast, password-losing World of Warcraft community spread the word, and one thing led to another,” CEO Mike Morhaime said.

BlizzCon Sold Out April Fools

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today announced that its fifth BlizzCon gaming convention, to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23, 2010, has completely sold out, less than a week after the convention was announced. Despite the fact that tickets were not yet actually on sale, there was such a demand that the callers to Blizzards Tech Support Hotline were offered the opportunity to purchase advance tickets as a thank you for their patience with the 3-4 hour phone hold times.
