Apple’s enlisting, so sign up maggot!

After the months of labor and slaving away, die hard fanatics of Apple hardware (insert witty biting comment) have been rewarded by The Steve with Apple’s very own beta software (titled Boot Camp; also to be included in the upcoming OSX: Leopard) that will allow Mac users to install and run Windows on an Intel-based Mac.

While this news poster gags at the innumerable amount of sheep that will buy on looks or hype alone, be it for OSX’s interface, Mac aesthetics, or both, there are at least practical uses for the new feature. Namely, Mac users will now be able to run Windows software, which in many cases means freeware. At last an OSX upgrade worth buying. There is one caveat though, you’ll need a copy of XP Home/Pro with SP2 included on disc. Oh yeah, and Apple offers no support for Windows problems, and Microsoft likely will offer no support for Windows problems on Macs.

Warning: Boot Camp Beta is preview software licensed for use on a trial basis for a limited time. Do not use Boot Camp Beta in a commercial operating environment or with important data. You should back up all of your data before installing this software and regularly back up data while using the software. Your rights to use Boot Camp Beta are subject to acceptance of the terms of the software license agreement that accompanies the software.
