Apple iPhone 4S Pre-Orders Starting Today?

If you try going to the Apple Store right now you might notice that the entire store is down for updating. Could this mean that the rumored iPhone 4S will be available to pre-order in just a few minutes? We heard rumors that the iPhone 4S is launching on October 14th, but no word on the iPhone 5 yet.
