Apple Introduces All-New iMac & iMac Mini

Apple today introduced its new iMac and iMac Mini desktops. The iMac features an improved LED backlit 27″ 2560×1400 non-Retina display offering 75% less reflections and is slimmer than its predecessor, with an edge 5mm thick and the build quality features enhanced fit and finish. It offers Intel Core i5 and i7 options, along with NVIDIA graphics to improve 3D performance. It comes as standard with 8GB RAM and 1TB HDD, with options of further storage such as a 3TB HDD and 768GB SSD. It also has two Thunderbolt and four USB 3.0 ports. Finally, it supports Fusion, which improves HDD performance by the use of 128GB of flash memory used as a file cache. The iMac mini is similar, but comes with a 21″ LED backlit 1920×1080 non-Retina display. iMac pricing starts at $1799 and will be available from December, while the iMac mini’s prices start at $599 and is available now.
