Antec Launches EarthWatts Platinum PSU Series
Antec introduced a new EarthWatts Platinum power supply series today. These power supplies are available in moderate 450W ($109.95), 550W ($119.95) and 650W ($129.95) desktop models and are aimed at consumers that are environmentally-conscious and energy-savvy. All of the power supplies in this series are 80 PLUS PLATINUM rated! This means they are up to 93% efficient!
The Antec EA-650 Platinum has four +12V rails and each are rated at 30 Amps, so it is a fairly beefy power supply despite being rated at just 650 Watts. It also has a single 120mm cooling fan to keep temperatures in check without making a ton of noise. Antec backs all of the new EarthWatts Platinum power supplies with a 3-year warranty.
