AMD’s Socket AM2 to launch summer 06 (before June 30th)

Are you one of the tens of thousands waiting for AMD to come out with the next generation socket before you upgrade? If you are one of these consumers you will be happy to know the Socket M (AM2) boards should launch in early summer – June to be exact according to Fudo.
AMD wants to meet public expectations for the first half of 2006. It will launch with DDR 2 667MHz DRAM. The DVT samples are expected in April while production should start at April/May timeframe. All has to be well for a June launch.
