AMD Ryzen CPU Coming Soon? New Trademark Hints AMD Rises From The Dead

AMD’s next generation Zen processors are the most highly anticipated CPU launch in over a decade for the company and every single day it feels like more details are leaking out. Pretty soon we’ll know the truth about them as on December 13th the AMD New Horizon Event is taking place and rumor as it all the details will be laid out. AMD has been registering a number of names in recent months; AMD Ryzen, Ryzen, ThreadRipper, GRok, Varar, Joro and Jitzu. AMD Ryzen, pronounced risen, is likely a strong contender for AMD’s new Zen family of processors as Ryzen could be taken from the biblical sense of AMD rising again from the dead after being put to death by Intel. Pretty deep.

If the AMD Ryzen SR7 processor really can compete with the Intel Core i7-5960X Broadwell-E processor it might be a fitting name. We also like AMD ThreadRipper, but that sounds more like a specific technology than an entire CPU series name.
