AMD Radeon Technologies Senior Vice President Will Be Retiring

AMD appointed Mike Rayfield as senior vice president and general manager of AMD Radeon Technologies Group (RTG) on January 23rd, 2018. In that roll, Rayfield was responsible for all aspects of strategy and business management for AMD’s graphics business including consumer graphics, professional graphics, and semi-custom products.

We learned earlier today that Mr. Rayfield will be retiring at the end of the year. Rayfield spent more than 30 years in the technology industry and worked for some big name companies. Legit Reviews crossed paths with him during his roles at AMD, Micron and NVIDIA.

Legit Reviews spoke with Drew Prairie, AMD Corporate Communications, and found out that David Wang will be taking his position over while AMD looks to fill the corporate position. David Wang was hired on as the same time as Mike Rayfield and was senior vice president of engineering for RTG before taking this interim position.
