AMD Radeon HD 7950, 7870 & 7850 To Receive Price Cuts

By

AMD has just slashed prices on the Radeon HD 7000 series again. This time the Radeon HD 7950, 7870 & 7850 all receive price cuts. The HD 7950 will now be selling for $319 and that includes the newest versions with PowerTune & Boost. The HD 7870 GHz Edition will see a price drop to just $249. Meanwhile the HD 7850 2GB will now retail for $209 with the 1GB versions going for $189. This puts the AMD Radeon HD 7950 in direct price performance comparison with NVIDIA’s GTX 660 Ti, while making both the HD 7870 and 7850 more attractive in general to consumers. Overall this should result in roughly a $30-40 price drop in the coming week. With that said, AMD will also be bundling AAA DirectX 11 title Sleeping Dogs with their Radeon HD 7800 series as some point in the next few weeks.
