AMD Radeon HD 6930 Video Card Coming Out Later This Month

By

It appears that AMD is preparing to release a new graphics card based on its Cayman Pro Core called the Radeon HD 6930. The AMD Radeon HD 6930 video card would directly compete against NVIDIAs recently released Geforce GTX 560 Ti 448 Core GPU which is available around $300. The Radeon HD6930 would basically be a neutered version of the Radeon HD 6950, but will release at a much lower price. This is exactly what NVIDIA did with the GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Core as it is a neutered GeForce GTX 570 for less money. The rumored release date of the Radeon HD 6930 is later this month just before Christmas. The price is rumored to be right around $200 and the performance of card should fall between the Radeon HD 6870 and Radeon HD 6950. The translation of the Chinese source isn’t pretty, but you can see it below.
