AMD Getting Six Trinity APU’s Ready For Launch

By

DonanimHaber has posted up a specification chart that details six upcoming AMD APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) based on the ‘Trinity’ core architecture. The AMD Trinity A10/A8 quad-core APU series is rumored to be launching in Q2 2012 while the dual-core A6/A4 would come later in Q3 2012. One of the key new features of the Trinity APU is that it uses AMD Graphics Core Next (GCN) GPU architecture and it should really raise the bar for DX11 graphics performance. The Trinity A10 APUs will feature Radeon HD 7660D graphics. The Radeon HD 7660D has 384 cores clocked at 800MHz! We can’t wait to see some performance numbers with specs like that, if they are correct.
