AMD EPYC Processors Launch Set For June 20th

AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su took the stage today at Computex 2017 and announced that AMD EPYC server processors will be coming to market on June 20th, 2017. Get ready for some 32-core fun next month!
She also showed off some competitive performance numbers where she showed how AMD EPYC performed against Intel Xeon in memory-bound and virtualized compute-bound workloads. In the memory-bound workload the 2S EPYC versus 2S E2699A V4 and EPYC won by ~2.5x. In compute bound workload AMD showed that they are able to win in both single socket and dual socket compares. AMD EPYC wins on performance, power and overall total cost of ownership.
