AMD Bulldozer Engineering Sample CPU Overclocked to 4.63GHz

By

More AMD Bulldozer processor leaks made their way online! If these leaks are true it could be very good news for AMD as it shows an FX-8130P processor running at an impressive 4.63GHz overclock with 1.5V. The overclock was done on the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 motherboard with BIOS versin F3. The AMD FX-8130P is supposed to be AMD’s fastest desktop Bulldozer processor as it features eight processing core that are run at a base frequency of 3.8GHz with turbo boost reaching 4.2 GHz.
Hitting 4.63GHz is a nice 830MHz gain over the rated clock speeds, but only 430MHz over the turbo speed. Is this what you’d consider a good overclock for an early engineering sample?

AMD FX-8130P Processor Overclock

Quite a bit of time has passed since the last AMD Bulldozer leaks made their way to the Web, but things seem to get on track once again and what better way to bring the FX-Series processors back into the limelight that with an impressive 4.63GHz overclock. The CPU that managed to achieve this feat seems to be an engineering sample of the FX-8130P and required about 1.5V in order to be stable enough to run the Super Pi benchmark at the above mentioned frequency
