ATTO & CrystalDiskMark

ATTO v4.01.0f1

ATTO is one of the oldest drive benchmarks still being used today and is still very relevant in the SSD world. ATTO measures transfers across a specific volume length. It measures raw transfer rates for both reads and writes and places the data into graphs that can be very easily interpreted. The test was run with the default runs of 0.5KB through 64MB transfer sizes with the total length being 256MB.

ATTO Disk Benchmark:

Benchmark Results: On ATTO Disk Benchmark the XPG GAMMIX S70 2TB model is hit speeds of up 6.92 GB/s read and 6.36 GB/s write as our primary boot drive filled to 55% capacity.

Benchmark Results: If you look at 128KB performance the XPG GAMMIX S70 performs behind the other PCIe Gen4 drives that use TLC NAND Flash.

CrystalDiskMark 7.0.0 x64

CrystalDiskMark is a small benchmark utility for drives and enables rapid measurement of sequential and random read/write speeds. Note that CDM only supports Native Command Queuing (NCQ) with a queue depth of 32 (as noted) and shows the highest score of five runs.

CystalDiskMark:

Peak Performance Preset

Real Performance Preset

Benchmark Results: The ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 2TB NVMe SSD finished this benchmark at 7,447 MB/s read and 6,781 MB/s write on CrystalDiskMark 7! The Random 4K performance at QD1 was 69 MB/s read and 199 MB/s write. The official speed ratings on CrystalDiskmark are up to 7,400 MB/s read and 6,400 MB/s wrote. We are seeing numbers above that at QD8, so we are happy with these numbers. At QD1 we are seeing 3,167 MB/s read and 5,683 MB/s write for sequential speeds.

Let’s look at some other benchmarks!
