Acer Advertises New Ultrabooks in Jack Bauer ’24’ Style!

It’s not often that an advert is good enough to actually seek out and watch, but here is one of those rarities. Here we see the real Kiefer Sutherland spoof his character, Jack Bauer, in the hit action series ’24’, where he goes all-out in this high-budget ad featuring fast action, explosions and gags aplenty – all in order to make his own-brand Dynamite Cupcakes!

All this to advertise Acer’s new Aspire S5 Ultrabook series. These come in two models, the S5-391-9860 and the S5-391-9880 that oddly, cost the same price of $1,399.99 on the Acer website. They each have the following main specs of 1366 x 768 13.3 inch screen, Intel Core i7-3517U CPU running at 1.9GHz with HD 4000 graphics, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 256GB SSD, Bluetooth 4.0 networking, webcam, HDMI port, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, HM77 Express chipset, 2310mAh 6.5 hour lithium polymer battery and loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

The only difference between them seems to be the Wi-Fi implementation, where for the S5-391-9860 the manufacturer is specified as being Atheros and the model number as MD222, while the S5-391-9860 model doesn’t specify a manufacturer or model number at all.
