3DMark 11 v1.01 Update Released – Fixes Bug Issues

By

We just got word from Futuremark that 3DMark 11 has been updated! It looks like a number of bugs have been fixed with version 1.01 and the good news is that a patch is available. You can download the incremental update here. Futuremark said that there is no difference to the scoring system, so any numbers you have already run are still valid. They went on to say that this update mainly fixes issues with the System Info file as well as a Windows 7 phenomenon which allowed the scoring file to be diddled with by people who wanted to show a higher score by changing the actual final scoring file. It looks like people were already cheating on 3DMark 11!!

It’s almost a week since we released 3DMark 11 and we’re rapidly closing on 200,000 result submissions from eager overclockers around the world. Unfortunately such wide scale use has brought to light a few issues that weren’t caught by our own testing. So today we are releasing an update to 3DMark 11 to fix those problems and add a couple of requested features. Note, until NVIDIA release new drivers SLI will continue to be unavailable in 3DMark 11.
