Zalman Announces SSD Product Series w/ SandForce and JMicron Controllers
Zalman has just entered the Solid-state drive (SSD) market! They sent over word that they will be launching their own product line for SSDs on the third week of this month. It looks like they will be launching two SSD drive series as part of their product line. The budget friendly S series will use JMicron controllers with up to 260MB/s sequential Read and 210MB/s Sequential Write performance. The other more performance oriented series is the N series and that drive will feature SandForce SD-1200 series controllers. These high performance drivers are rated for up to 280MB/s Read and 270MB/s Write when it comes to sequential file transfers.
