Change to ‘Bios’ will make for PCs that boot in seconds

For those who have moved up to SSD’s, you have already seen your boot time reduced significantly. However, there is always that wait time for the BIOS to load that adds to the overall boot time. It looks as though the antiquated BIOS will be replaced by the UEFI very soon.
The upgrade will spell the end for the 25-year-old PC start-up software known as Bios that initialises a machine so its operating system can get going.
