By

I just got word that ATI CATALYST 10.9 video card drivers will be released in a few hours! Those of you that play The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena will be happy to hear that you will get a performance boost and that the mesh corruption is no longer visible when SSAO in-game setting is set to high. ATI also improved performance numbers in the STALKER: Call of Pripyat benchmark, so be sure to keep an eye out for these drivers when the go public here in a bit. The driver also updates the application profiles for Aliens Vs. Predator, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, F1 2010 and Kane & Lynch 2. We will be posting a link to the drivers once they go public! Here is a sneak peak at part of the release notes and you can see all key release notes in the forums by following the link below. ATI has been on the ball with drivers and fixes lately and CATALYST 10.9 drivers coming this early in the month is a bit of a shock, a good one though!
