VisionTek Launching Wireless Mini Keyboard with Touchpad – CANDYBOARD

Our contacts over at VisionTek sent us a note letting us know that their VisionTek CandyBoard is in stock and ready to ship to retailers. They have not released a press release on it just yet, but they did say that they believe that this wireless mini keyboard with built-in touchpad is the perfect HTPC accessory. The price is said to be between price is between $79 and $89. It is also said to be supported by Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows CE, Windows 7, Linux (Debian-3.1,Redhat-9.0 Ubuntu-8.10 Fedora-7.0 tested) and on game consoles like the Xbox 360 & Sony PS3.

VisionTek CANDYBOARD mini keyboard

The VisionTek CANDYBOARD is a mini keyboard, with a 2.4GHz frequency USB dongle, that looks just slightly bigger than a candy bar. It features 69 keys, a “capacitive-sensing” touch pad that’s “comparable to a real notebook touch pad,” gaming-oriented navigation keys designed to “be used as joystick controls,” 26 LED’s to use in low-light environments and Windows Media compatibility.
