PowerColor Shows Radeon HD 5970 with 12 DisplayPorts for Eyefinity!

By

If you think that the Radeon HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 Editions cards are extreme, with their six mini DisplayPorts, then think again as PowerColor is working on a Radeon HD 5970 card with 12 (twelve) outputs. This card is crazy looking as it takes up three slots and has 12 mini DisplayPort outlets. If you didn’t see it you wouldn’t believe it.

PowerColor 12-port Eyefinity

PowerColor’s uber-Eyefinity HD 5970 model features 12 mini DisplayPorts that can power a maximum of 12 monitors, it takes up three PCI slots so it will have a massive cooler, and packs 4GB of GDDR5 memory. The card’s clocks have not been set yet and we may have to wait until early June and Computex to find them out. Still, even at stock HD 5970 frequencies this Hemlock card should be a beast so you may want to start saving up. For both the card and 12 monitors.
