Twitter Gets Advertising

By

After four years of great success, Twitter has unveiled its plans to generate revenue via advertisements. Starting today, there will be text-based ads or promoted tweets – appearing next to search results. Initially, this should affect between 2% and 10% of the more than 75 million users. Twitter says that over time, the search ads will be seen by all Twitter users. Some are already upset with Twitters marketing plan as they eventually will add these promoted ads to users tweets.
