WiMax has been touted for a few years now as the wave of the wireless future. Actions are underway now to roll out the WiMax availability out to various cities, eventually reaching hundreds of millions of users in 2010 and billions by 2011. Will your city be one of them?
WiMax growth is surpassing expectations, according to a new report from the WiMax Forum. The 4G technology is currently on track to cover more than 1 billion people worldwide by the end of 2011. The 4G technology WiMax is on track to surpass predictions of covering 800 million people by the end of 2010, the WiMax Forum announced Feb. 15.
