Apple To Bring iTunes to the Web

Apples recent acquisition of the online music service Lala has sparked major speculation on that the company is looking to make iTunes available to the web. Many speculate that the purchase of Lala is a move to compete with subscription-based services like Rhapsody and Napster, while others predict we might be seeing online video streaming in the near future.

Most are speculating that Apple may be moving into the cloud to compete with subscription services from competitors like Rhapsody and Napster. Or that Apple will follow Lala’s current format where you can actually own a cloud-based version of a particular album or song at a reduced price.
