Nintendo Switch Racked Up Big Sales Numbers on Black Friday

Some details on products sold on Black Friday are coming in, and one of the biggest winners was the Nintendo Switch game console. The Switch is selling well as gamers looking for a new game console are buying it while waiting on the updated Xbox and PlayStation to launch.

While analysts say the Switch was one of the biggest sellers on Black Friday, they stopped short of offering any real numbers for the console. Nintendo’s Black Friday offering was the same that it had offered last year.

The console came bundled with a free copy of Mario Kart 8 for download for $299. That game is one that most new Switch owners would be buying anyway saving them about $60.

Nintendo could use a boost in sales for the Switch. Earlier this year it has reduced its sales forecast for the console to 17 million units, down from 20 million reports CNN Business.
