DJI Mavic Mini Specifications Confirmed

Drone fans who like the DJI brand will be glad to hear that the specifications for a new smaller drone have been confirmed. The confirmation comes from an early listing that was spied on a retailer website. The DJI Mavic Mini will weigh 249 grams making it very light.

The drone will have a 30 minute flight time per charge. Considering how lightweight and small the drone is, the flight time is impressive, according to Drone DJ.

The small drone will be able to send video wirelessly over a distance of 2.5 miles in HD resolution. DJI is also giving the drone a vision sensor plus GPS precise hover feature. It also has a three-axis gimbal that supports 2.7k video.

Some are bothered by the lack of 4K video recording, but if the video is being shared to YouTube or Facebook, the lack of higher resolution isn’t likely to matter. The drone isn’t expected to have obstacle avoidance.
