AMD Ryzen 9 3950X Delayed Until November – Will Arrive With 3rd Threadripper CPUs
AMD gave us a bit of bad news this afternoon… They confirmed that they have delayed the release of the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-core, 32-thread processor until November 2019. AMD cited that they are trying to meet the high demand for 3rd Gen Ryzen processors and it seems they need a little more time. There has been a ton of rumors flying around about 7nm lately, so this isn’t a big shock. AMD is likely wanting to make sure that they have enough stock available for a proper worldwide launch of the 3950X.

We are focusing on meeting the strong demand for our 3rd generation AMD Ryzen processors in the market and now plan to launch both the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X and initial members of the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor family in volume this November. We are confident that when enthusiasts get their hands on the worlds first 16-core mainstream desktop processor and our next-generation of high-end desktop processors, the wait will be well worth it.
The good news is that the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor series will also be coming out in November 2019. That is great news for content creators or anyone waiting on these processors since they have more cores and threads!
