Roku Smart Soundbar Brings Streaming Content and Sound
Roku has unveiled a new device called the Smart Soundbar that is just what you think it is. It’s a soundbar that hooks to your TV to improve the audio you get from your set. The soundbar has four drivers inside.
It has automatic volume leveling and sells for $179.99. It will ship starting in October and supports all the Roku OS features fans are used to, including with lots of streaming content.
The oundbar also supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa-enabled devices. Roku will also launch an optional wireless subwoofer that will sell for $179.99 and will be available starting in October.
The soundbar does have a night mode to lower the volume during loud scenes and a speech clarity function that boost voice frequency. Both the soundbar and the sub are up for pre-order now reports BGR.
