HoloLens 2 On Sale in September
By
It has been a while since Microsoft announced the HoloLens 2 back in February. One bit of details that Microsft didn’t give was when the headset would be available. Word has now surfaced that the Hololens 2 will ship next month.
Word of the September ship date came from Microsoft EVP Harry Shum at the World Artifical Intelligence Conference in Shanghai reports Engadget. HoloLens 2 promises to be more comfortable than the original.
The headset has twice the field of view of the original at 2K resolution for each eye. That is a significant upgrade from the original HoloLens that offered 720p for each eye.
HoloLens 2 is very expensive, at $3,500. It’s not aimed at consumers. Instead, it’s aimed at institutions and enterprises.
