Microsoft Talks Project Scarlett Xbox at E3 2019
Microsoft was on hand at E3 2019 and talked about its coming next-gen Xbox game console, and the specifications sound good. Microsoft says that the console will support native 4K at 60 fps and up to 120 fps. The next-gen SSD storage is 40x faster than current generation consoles says Microsoft.
The next-gen Xbox will support hardware accelerated ray tracing and games, accessories, and career modes come with you. The console is 8K capable. There are few 8K TVs on the market today, but that will change.
One of the key facts that Microsoft announced was that the new console would launch holiday 2020. That gives more than a year to get ready for the new console. The processor inside is a custom-designed AMD unit based on the AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU tech, and it will feature next-gen Radeon RDNA graphics.
There has been a lot of anticipation surrounding the next-gen Xbox. It’s nice to see Microsoft giving up details on the console, typically next-gen plans are kept a secret, but Microsoft’s move will undoubtedly put a damper on leaks.
