Star Trek: Dark Remnant VR Game Lands at Dave & Busters
If you need something to do this weekend, you might want to check out Dave & Busters. The eatery and arcade has a new VR game that Star Trek fans will want to try. VRstudios has announced Star Trek: Dark Remnant as a new VR game that is exclusive for the proprietary multiplayer virtual reality sim at Dave & Buster’s locations.
The game puts players into a rescue mission with the Enterprise near the edge of Klingon space reports Comicbook. Players are in control of the USS Galileo, which is the newest and most advanced research vessel in the fleet.
During the mission, the Enterprise is incapacitated, and the Galileo has to protect it from natural hazards and Klingon aggression. The cool thing about the game is that it has several endings and variable elements along with real-time dialog making no two playthroughs the same.
The game allows the players to control the phasers, deflector shield, and sensors of the Galileo. Players get a perspective of the Star Trek universe in a different way than they have experienced before coming face-to-face with the Enterprise in all its beauty and splendor, said Chanel Summers, VRstudios Vice President of Creative Development said in a press release. Working together with Strange Reptile on this title has enabled us both to use our complementary strengths to delight players with this unique Star Trek adventure. We have combined all the well-established frameworks of Star Trek with some all-new story elements and characters, while also delivering multiple different endings to keep players coming back for more!
