LG G8 ThinQ Preorders Might be Reasonably Priced in the US

If you are in the market for a new smartphone and don’t want to pay the over $1,000 asking price that flagships from Apple or Samsung cost, LG has an option. The LG G8 ThinQ has been priced up in Korea, and if it lands stateside close to the converted prices, this will be a device that appeals to shoppers.

The smartphone is officially priced at KRW 897,600, which converts to around $790. That certainly isn’t a budget phone price, but it’s significantly cheaper than the high-end iPhone and Galaxy devices. There is a chance the device will be priced closer to $750 when it lands in the US reports Phone Arena.

The LG G7 ThinQ sold for $750 in the US. In Korea, the Galaxy S10e sells for the equivalent of $795. That means that the G8 ThinQ is going head-to-head with the S10e, and undercutting its price in Korea.

LG uses a Snapdragon 855, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 3,500 mAh battery in the G8 ThinQ. The dispaly is notched and is an OLED that has hand vein recognition tech inside. While Korean versions have been spied with a triple rear camera setup, it’s expected to offer only a dual camera setup Stateside.
