Apex Legends Tops 50 Million Players in First Month
Respawn Entertainment announced on Twitter that Apex Legends has reached the 50 million player milestone and is likely well over that today thanks to all the news that the free-to-play game title is getting. Not bad for the game titles first month since it was only released on February 4th, 2o19. Apex Legends has seen phenomenal growth since release with one million players joining in the first eight hours and 2.5 million joining by the end of the first day. 10 million gamers were playing Apex Legends after just three days.
these are impressive numbers, considering that it took Fortnite two weeks to break the 10 million user milestone. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) took six months to hit the 10 million mark, but was $29.99 at the time and has never been a free-to-play game title. More than 200 million people have tried playing Fortnite and it shows that battle royale games are still all the rage these days.
