Sapphire Announces Price Cuts For AMD Radeon RX VEGA Cards
We just got an e-mail from Sapphire USA that informed us of some major price adjustments for the Nitro+ Vega 64 and Pulse Vega 56 graphics cards. The Sapphire Nitro+ RX Vega 64 8GB will now have a $379 MSRP and the Sapphire Pulse RX Vega 56 8GB will be $329. AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics cards were originally launched with a $499 MSRP and it was tough to find one for that thanks to the cryptocurrency mining boom that was happening at that time.
“SAPPHIRE Technology a designer and manufacturer of solutions for PC systems announces a major price drop on its NITRO+ and PULSE RX VEGA Series Graphics cards. This price reduction makes the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RADEON RX VEGA 64 8GB DUAL HDMI / DUAL DP (UEFI) and SAPPHIRE PULSE RADEON RX VEGA 56 8GB DUAL HDMI / DUAL DP (UEFI) models more accessible to gamers looking for the best available price, performance and design combination on the market.”
The AMD Radeon RX Vega series still gets the ‘Raise the Game Fully Loaded’ game bundle that includes Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5 and Tom Clancys The Division 2.
This price shift is likely due to the fact that NVIDIA announced the GeForce RTX 2060 6GB last night at the $349 price point and it benchmarks really well. We looked at Amazon and Newegg and neither of these models are in-stock and available for purchase today.
UPDATE: Sapphire USA has contacted Legit Reviews about four hours after sending the press release and informed us that this isn’t happening just yet and to not post. We already posted the news on the site and social media, so it really can’t be pulled down as it’s already cached by the search engines and it out of the bag. That said, the pricing change has not happened yet.
