Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit Is Next Week and Will Be Streamed
5G cellular service is coming and is expected to have a major impact on the cellular industry in 2019. The entire world will begin transitioning to 5G with the United States and Korea being first to adopt 5G in the first half of 2019, followed by Europe and China later in the year. That means people in those countries will be able to have access to faster internet speeds and that will unlock the door to more innovation as the faster speeds will allow more than ever to be done. Qualcomm CEO Steve Mollenkopf believes that 5G could be the beginning of the end for cable television and that it is the biggest change in the cellular industry in 25 years.
Qualcomm is one of the key players in the move to 5G and they will be hosting their annual Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit in Maui, Hawaii next week from December 4 to 6. Qualcomm will be live streaming its summit on December 4th, 5th, and 6th at 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern / 8PM England on each day. The broadcast from Qualcomm’s 2018 Tech Summit special event hub can be found here.
We expect to see a number of exciting updates on 5G, AI, computer vision, IoT and of course the Always Connected PC. We will most certainly learn about the successor to the Snapdragon 845 and we have a feeling that they will have some big news for Windows 10 on ARM at the event. Legit Reviews will be traveling to the Snapdragon Tech Summit to cover the event. We’d like to thank Qualcomm inviting us and covering traveling expenses to get down to Hawaii to hear about the latest and greatest technologies.
